Natiahli na prštek tenučkú obrúčku, 

obkrútili prštek, zaputnali rúčku; 

zaputnali rúčku, srdce zaviazali, 

moje potešenie do klietky mi dali,

očiek ligotanie, piesne štebotanie. 

Ústa sladké cudzím bozkom spečatili, 

chodník zakázali, vrátka zatvorili; 

aby sa už viacej nikdy nezviazalo, 

čo bolo zviazané, čo sa rado malo: 

aby ma už viacej nikdy neobjala 

najkrajšia obrúčka — rúčka tvoja malá,
